Burn Ban Information:

Pierce County Stage 1 burn ban begins June 1, 2026

Unincorporated Pierce County residents should prepare now for the annual burn ban, which begins at 8 a.m. on June 1, 2026, and remains in effect until further notice. Please follow all County ordinances and rules for outdoor burning.

Herron Island Speed Limit is 15 MPH
Help keep the dust down!

The speed limit on the mainland, driving to the ferry dock on Herron Road, is 25MPH, be kind to our mainland shore neighbors.

Racing down the hill won't make a difference catching the ferry.
